Past Supreme President Dr. James F. Dimitriou
The celebration featured a historical display curated by Past Supreme President Dr. James F. Dimitriou in honor of the centennial. Kokotas and Executive Director Basil Mossaidis presented Dr. Dimitriou with a Past Supreme President's pin, newly minted for the centennial. Mossaidis also spoke about AHEPA's history of leaders who hailed from the Western Region.

  • The mission of the AHEPA Family is to promote Hellenism, Education, Philanthropy, Civic Responsibility, and Family and Individual Excellence. Membership is open to everyone who believes in the mission of the organization. District 20 covers the southwest region of the United States including Southern California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada.

Founded in 1922

  • Founded in 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia, on the principles that undergirded its fight for civil rights and against discrimination, bigotry, and hatred felt at the hands of the Ku Klux Klan, AHEPA is the largest and oldest grassroots association of American citizens of Greek heritage and Philhellenes with more than 400 chapters across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
